La Pieve, a pochi chilometri dal centro cittadino, è rinomata soprattutto per la chiesa di San Vincenzo. La chiesa riveste importanza perché perpetua, anche nell’intitolazione, la prima Pieve del Frignano (Pieve di S.Vincenzo “de Paule”) che doveva essere ubicata nello stesso luogo o nei pressi del vicino monte fortificato (castello e pieve di San Vincenzo de Paule, VI-XI sec.). L’interesse è rivolto alla parte esterna dell’abside, una delle testimonianze più preziose del romanico frignanese.
L’edificio attuale è una costruzione quattrocentesca, consacrata secondo la tradizione nel 1468, probabilmente rimaneggiata nel Seicento, come sembra tramandare la data scolpita sull’architrave del portale d’ingresso, “Anno Domini 1650”.

The parish church, a few kilometres away from the centre, is especially renown for the church of San Vincenzo. The church is important because it perpetuates, even in the name, the first parish church of Frignano (Pieve di S. Vincenzo “de Paule”) which was supposed to be located in the same place or near the nearby fortified mountain (castle and Pieve di S. Vincenzo de Paule, 6th-11th century). The interest is aimed at the external part of the apse, one of the most valuable testimonies of Frignano Romaneasque.
The current building is a fifteenth century construction, consecrated according to tradition in 1468, probably reworked in the seventeenth century, as seems to indicate the date carved on the architrave of the entrance portal, “Anno Domini 1650”.
