Nonostante la sua posizione isolata, il borgo fortificato di Monzone godette nel Medioevo di una notevole importanza militare. La torre comunale, ora adibita a campanile, è l’unico resto del castello. Despite its isolated position, the fortified hamlet of Monzone enjoyed a significant military importance during the Middle Ages. The Municipal tower, now used as a bell tower, is the only remnant of the castle. Gathered at the foot of the tower, the town is characterised by narrow streets that suddenly open into small squares and courtyards.
